About Our Preschool Ministries
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 says “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
Together we can help your child build a Christ centered worldview where they will be able to discern what aligns with God’s Word and what doesn’t, giving them confidence to know Who God is and what He has done for them.
Sunday Morning Kidz Konnect
Preschool Kidz Konnect is geared toward children ages 3 through age 5. During our time together our caring, dedicated, and loving teachers will explore Biblical truths through the use of structured play, God’s Word, Catechism questions, sensory bins, and hands-on activities. On Sunday mornings our preschoolers will begin worship with families in the main worship service. Use this time of family worship to help your preschooler praise our Creator through song, prayer, and listening. Before the sermon begins, children can be escorted out of the main service to their classroom for age-appropriate learning. On your drive home ask your child the following questions:
- Who is God? He is the creator of everyone and everything
- Who made you? God!
- Who loves you? God!
- Who has a plan for you? God!
- God’s word is always….TRUE!
What to expect the first time on a Sunday:
Upon entering our building you will find the Judson Kids Check-In Station. Here we will ask for your contact information, names and ages of your children and any allergies they may have. Our preschool staff use a texting program to communicate with families if a need arises or in the case of an emergency. After registering, a volunteer will give you a tour of our classroom so your preschooler can know what to expect.
Once you check-in at the cart in the lobby, you may find a spot in the auditorium to worship with your family. Kids are dismissed for class before the sermon begins. Class will run the remainder of service and preschoolers should be picked up from class by parents and/or guardians at the conclusion of service.
10:00 – 11:00am Infants – Age 5 with a guardian
We believe play opens a child’s mind, allowing us to intentionally plant seeds of Truth; God loves you, God made you, God sent Jesus to die for you, and God’s Word is true. At Preschool Play we connect playtime with Jesus and anchor our preschoolers to the truth found in God’s Word. Each Thursday discover a new story to explore, simple ways to connect with your preschooler, and lots and lots of playing. We meet weekly on Thursdays through the duration of the school year. Your preschooler wasn’t made to sit; they were made to play! So let’s play together!
What to expect the first time on a Thursday:
Parents and guardians stay with their preschoolers during our playtime. You will register at our Judson Kids Check-In Station. Once registered you will enter our gym with your preschooler where you will be able to explore sensory bins, pretend play with PJ Mask and cooking toys, get moving with our riding toys, and discover with our STEM toys. During our time together we will come together for fun songs, silly poems, and engaging stories, and most importantly we will connect it all back to God! Let’s play together!
Wednesdays 6:30PM – 7:45PM
Kids are in the prime of their lives for growth and development. What could be better than developing a knowledge and understanding of the Creator of the world? Preschoolers will engage in learning about God’s Word through interactive teaching, creative activities, and structured play! We meet weekly throughout the school year. Join us on Wednesdays from 6:30PM – 7:45PM. Doors open at 6:15. Since parents and guardians drop off for this event, we ask that preschoolers are at least 3 years old and potty trained. It’s guaranteed to be the prime time of your child’s week!
What to expect the first time on a Wednesday:
On Wednesday nights we implement a drive up drop of. This means when you arrive in our parking lot you will join our line at the front doors. While you wait in your car, a staff member will greet you for your contact information. Once we have all your information, your child has a nametag and you have a pick-up tag, we will escort your child inside. Preschoolers will be taken to our preschool classroom where they will engage in play. As dismissal, we ask that you return to our drive-up pick-up line, present your security tag and your child will be walked out to your car. If you have any questions prior to attending, please feel free to contact us.
At Judson we have two separate weeks of VBS: one designed for preschoolers and another geared for elementary students. At Pre-K VBS, each day includes God’s Word, silly songs, pretend play, sensory play, outdoor play, storytime, and of course snacks!
Preschoolers will start together in the gym hearing a story from God’s Word. By the end of VBS, your child will know that God’s Word is ALWAYS true! After our Bible lesson and some very silly songs, preschoolers will rotate with their small group to the different stations. This is where Biblical truths will be reinforced with the use of everyday play. Your child will learn who God is, that God made them with a purpose, we were made to glorify God, and He is always with us.
Wondering if your child should attend Pre-K VBS? This week is geared for preschoolers through students going into kindergarten. Since parents and guardians drop off for this event, we ask that all preschoolers are at least 3 years old and potty trained. Have a child who has already attended Kindergarten? Then they should join us for our Elementary VBS! No matter which week, let’s play and learn together this summer!
