PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

Welcome to Judson Church! We’re excited to help your preschooler grow in faith through play. Our mission is to help children know that:

  • God made them
  • God loves them
  • Jesus died for them
  • God’s Word is true

About Our Preschool Ministries

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 says “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
Together we can help your child build a Christ centered worldview where they will be able to discern what aligns with God’s Word and what doesn’t, giving them confidence to know Who God is and what He has done for them.

Sunday Morning Kidz Konnect

Preschool Kidz Konnect is geared toward children ages 3 through age 5. During our time together our caring, dedicated, and loving teachers will explore Biblical truths through the use of structured play, God’s Word, Catechism questions, sensory bins, and hands-on activities. On Sunday mornings our preschoolers will begin worship with families in the main worship service. Use this time of family worship to help your preschooler praise our Creator through song, prayer, and listening. Before the sermon begins, children can be escorted out of the main service to their classroom for age-appropriate learning. On your drive home ask your child the following questions:

  • Who is God? He is the creator of everyone and everything
  • Who made you? God!
  • Who loves you? God!
  • Who has a plan for you? God!
  • God’s word is always….TRUE!
Sunday Morning Kidz Konnect

What to expect the first time on a Sunday:

When you enter our building, you’ll find the Judson Kids Check-In Station, where we’ll collect your contact information, your child’s name, age, and any allergies. Our preschool staff uses a texting program to communicate with families in case of need or emergency. After registration, a volunteer will give you a tour of the classroom so your preschooler knows what to expect.

Once checked in, you can find a spot in the auditorium to worship with your family. Kids will be dismissed before the sermon starts and will stay in class for the rest of the service. Parents or guardians should pick up their preschoolers at the end of the service.

Preschool Play

Thursday Mornings

10:00 – 11:00am Infants – Age 5 with a guardian

We believe play opens a child’s mind, allowing us to intentionally plant seeds of Truth; God loves you, God made you, God sent Jesus to die for you, and God’s Word is true. At Preschool Play we connect playtime with Jesus and anchor our preschoolers to the truth found in God’s Word. Each Thursday discover a new story to explore, simple ways to connect with your preschooler, and lots and lots of playing. We meet weekly on Thursdays through the duration of the school year. Your preschooler wasn’t made to sit; they were made to play! So let’s play together!

More detailed information can be found here: Preschool Play.

Preschool Play

What to expect the first time on a Thursday:

Parents and guardians stay with their preschoolers during our playtime. You will register at our Judson Kids Check-In Station. Once registered you will enter our gym with your preschooler where you will be able to explore sensory bins, pretend play with PJ Mask and cooking toys, get moving with our riding toys, and discover with our STEM toys. During our time together we will come together for fun songs, silly poems, and engaging stories, and most importantly we will connect it all back to God! Let’s play together!
Preschool Play runs the duration of the school. Check our website calendar for dates. We can’t wait to PLAY with you!

Primetime

Wednesdays 6:30PM – 7:45PM

Kids are in the prime of their lives for growth and development. What could be better than developing a knowledge and understanding of the Creator of the world? Preschoolers will engage in learning about God’s Word through interactive teaching, creative activities, and structured play! We meet weekly throughout the school year. Join us on Wednesdays from 6:30PM – 7:45PM. Doors open at 6:15. Since parents and guardians drop off for this event, we ask that preschoolers are at least 3 years old and potty trained. It’s guaranteed to be the prime time of your child’s week!

Primetime

What to expect the first time on a Wednesday:

On Wednesday nights we implement a drive up drop of. This means when you arrive in our parking lot you will join our line at the front doors. While you wait in your car, a staff member will greet you for your contact information. Once we have all your information, your child has a nametag and you have a pick-up tag, we will escort your child inside. Preschoolers will be taken to our preschool classroom where they will engage in play. As dismissal, we ask that you return to our drive-up pick-up line, present your security tag and your child will be walked out to your car. If you have any questions prior to attending, please feel free to contact us.

Pre-K VBS

At Judson, we offer two separate weeks of VBS: one for preschoolers and another for elementary students. Pre-K VBS includes God’s Word, fun songs, pretend play, sensory activities, outdoor play, storytime, and, of course, snacks!

Pre-K VBS is for preschoolers and kids entering kindergarten in the fall. We ask that all preschoolers be at least 3 years old and fully potty trained. If your child has already attended kindergarten, they should join our Elementary VBS.
