Our aim during VBS is to provide engaging hands-on-activities where your child will discover Biblical truths while having ridiculous amounts of fun. This summer kids will DIVE DEEP into the Word of God to discover who God is and what He has done for us. We will explore the story of Jonah and his journey of obedience. Through hands-on activities, games, silly songs, messy activities, crafts, scripture memory and of course Bible lessons, we hope kids will begin to understand the importance of seeking God and obeying Him first. Allow us the opportunity to get to know your child, laugh with your child and learn with your child. Let’s DIVE DEEP together!
At Judson Kids we offer two separate weeks of VBS. Why?
We know we can provide more intentional age-appropriate learning by splitting our large group into two separate weeks. Your preschooler will have the entire campus to PLAY while elementary-aged kids will get to spread out for more games and FUN!
Parents and Guardians: Make note of the ages, dates, times, and details for each week of VBS.
Pre-K Week: July 15th – 17th. 9:30AM – 11:30AM
-
- This week is designed specifically for children who are age 3 by the start date of VBS through children who will be attending kindergarten in the fall.
- Since this is a drop off event, we ask that all children are fully potty trained. This means children must be able to handle their potty breaks without assistance. Staff is not equipped to change diapers or pull ups.
- If your child has already attended elementary school, they should register for elementary week.
Preschool Details:
- Crews:
- Your child will be assigned to a small group we call a ”‘crew”. Crews will be announced upon arrival on the first day of VBS.
- Since registration is open until the day before, we are continuously making changes to our groups. Therefore, we cannot provide any information about crews and what crew your child is in, until the first day of VBS.
- Preschool Crews are made up of at least 2 volunteers and no more than 6 children.
- Opening:
- Upon arrival, children will be escorted to their crew in the gym. There they will engage in play at their blanket while they wait for our whole group session to start.
- During our whole group session preschoolers will play silly games, sing fun songs and hear a story straight from God’s Word.
- Rotate to stations in small groups:
- Crew leaders follow a specific schedule for rotations. Your child will rotate through crafts, outdoor play, and indoor play.
- Each station takes an everyday activity and connects it back to a Truth from God’s Word.
- Crafts are designed to allow children to be creative the way God is creative.
- Outdoor play includes bubbles, water tables, riding toys and the playground. Kids discover God made them to move!
- Indoor play includes STEM toys, sensory bins and pretend play. Children will discover God made them to be curious, to pretend, to be silly and to play!
- Wrap up in the Gym:
- All crews return to the gym for our dismissal. We review our BIG IDEA for the day, sing silly songs and play games.
- 11:30AM Dismissal
- Children will stay seated in the gym until their name is called for dismissal. While they are waiting they will continue to play with blocks, magnets or toys on their blankets.
- A Judson Kids staff member will walk preschoolers out to cars for dismissal.
Elementary Week: July 21st – 24th 9:30AM – 12:00PM

No matter which week your child attends, they will hear a story straight from God’s Word. They will discover how the main character in the story made wrong and right choices, but through it all sought out God’s direction and/or forgiveness. Most importantly they will learn that God is always the hero in the Bible story because He is the One who made us, loves us, and has a plan for us.
By the end of each week, your child will know that God’s Word is always true and because it is always true, we can trust it. They will understand that God loves them so much He made them on purpose with a purpose in mind. And God never ever makes a mistake!
Volunteering!
We love parents, grandparents and teen helpers at VBS! Helping hands allow us to break our large group into small groups, giving us a smaller student to volunteer ratio. If you are interested in volunteering, click the link below!
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to email our director, Sara Witthouse.
