Participating in small groups gives you the opportunity to develop your faith, meet new people, and make new friends. Groups are made up of between six and twelve adults who meet on a regular basis for fellowship, study, and prayer, either at church or at home within the city. We encourage groups to plan times for building relationships (e.g., going out to dinner) and serving as a team.
In just a few short weeks, small groups at Judson Church are starting back up. You might be thinking, “I have so many things going on, why should I invest time in a small group?” Below are three simple, but I think, significant reasons to join a small group this year.
1. God calls us to speak the truth in love. When we read and study the Bible together, we are speaking God’s truth…together.
2. God created us for relationships. We have busy schedules; small groups help us rejoice and reflect with one another.
3. God calls us to prayer. I need others to pray for me, and you need others to pray for you. Small groups help us do that.
There are many other reasons to join a small group, but the bottom line is that we all need the gospel of Jesus Christ. Small groups can help us remember that fact.
